There's "Snow" business like "Snow" business in the West Country

As the snow turns to mush over the Mndip Hills in Somerset and the hunt for the beast of Binegar (an alleged big cat paw mark has been seen) resumes there is more than a bit theatre on West Country Roads this morning.

An interesting sight this morning was 100's of kids dressed in pyjamas tramping through the snow on their way to college on a so called mufti day for charity as a precursor to the half term break.

it appears that the local Polish workers have again put their British counterparts to shame in that at one remote Mendip location a 100% on time attendance was recorded, but the Brits are still dribbling in as they can't justify a duvet day when the snow has virtually gone from the main roads.

No doubt they will be the usual invented excuses but should there be any amusing one we will keep you posted.

In another turn of events and with so many unemployed one Mendip employer seeking a mechanical engineer with AutoCAD skills has reported nil applications which suggests many prefer the dole queue to employment.

Anyone interested in this position should get in touch via our website.
